The January 2026 update introduces the first Notice Board work, improves digital form submission screens, and adds new member and registration data fields that support later administration workflows. This release also includes improvements to competition cloning and competition visibility.
Highlights
Section titled “Highlights”- Notice Board groundwork has been added, including public viewing components and administration screens.
- Digital form submission screens have been refined to make form completion easier.
- Competition members now support activity status and display name override data.
- Registration state and unlisted competition support have been added.
- Competition cloning screens and backend cloning support have been improved.
Web App
Section titled “Web App”Notice Board
Section titled “Notice Board”The first Notice Board experience has been added to SportsM8. This includes a Notice Board home area, post display components, competition logo thumbnails, and administration screens for managing Notice Board posts.
This lays the foundation for publishing competition notices and updates through SportsM8 instead of relying only on external communication channels.
Notice Board administration
Section titled “Notice Board administration”SportsM8 administration screens now include Notice Board management tools. Administrators can access a dashboard, manage posts, and edit Notice Board content from the admin area.
Digital form submission improvements
Section titled “Digital form submission improvements”Digital form agreement screens have been updated to improve the form submission experience. The first wave of UI improvements makes the submission flow clearer for members completing required forms.
Competition cloning improvements
Section titled “Competition cloning improvements”Competition cloning screens have been refined, and backend support has been updated so newer competition settings are carried through more consistently when a competition is cloned.
Competition and registration status fields
Section titled “Competition and registration status fields”Competition and member models now support additional status information, including registration state, member activity status, display name override, and unlisted competition settings. These fields support clearer administration, member display, and registration handling across SportsM8.
Backend & Integrations
Section titled “Backend & Integrations”Notice Board API support
Section titled “Notice Board API support”Backend support has been added for Notice Board posts, including new Notice Board models and routes.
Registration and member metadata support
Section titled “Registration and member metadata support”The API now supports larger registration configuration data, member activity status, display name override, registration state, and unlisted competition settings. These changes support improved registration and member administration workflows in the web app.
Competition clone support
Section titled “Competition clone support”Competition cloning has been updated to include the newer registration, display name, activity status, and competition visibility fields.
Fixes and Improvements
Section titled “Fixes and Improvements”- Improved handling for registration state calculations.
- Improved profile and competition member support for display name override values.
- Refined Competition Clone UI copy and layout.
